Miscelanea Museum is my final project for the master’s in web design and my first venture into web design. The site showcases a collection of artworks that have deeply inspired or moved me. Through this project, I sought to merge my two greatest passions—design and art history—into a website that balances both aesthetics and functionality.
For the visual identity of the site, I chose earthy and brown tones, reminiscent of art frames and varnishes, paired with an aesthetic influenced by movements like Romanticism, Baroque, and the contemporary “Dark Academia” style.
In terms of design, I focused on creating an intuitive and user-friendly structure, enhanced with subtle animations for a dynamic experience. One of the most challenging aspects of this project was configuring the custom post types (CPTs) for both the artworks and artists.
Overall, this website is a culmination of everything I’ve learned during my master’s studies, blending functionality, visual appeal, and my deep-rooted background in art history.
